I have made a wire with a switch so I can connect to
the pin and minus on battery
and sit in the car an do every thing.
How I do it:
1. Change oil and oil filter.
2. Reset for oil change.
3. Warm up the car, take it for a drive.
4. Clean the DPF. takes about half an hour.
5. Calibrate the injectors.
6. Finish.
** I have not seen the glow plug flash 5 times but I
wait until it goes to idle
after about 4 min.
These service tips should work on other models with
2.0 and 2.2 diesel engine
you just have to find the 6 pole service plug.
Remember to clean out the oil pick-up in the sump
before it kills your engine
|
This is what it looks like |
This happens when the oil gets polluted from bad
diesel when cleaning the DPF.
It can also happen if you use the wrong engine oil.
Remember to check and clean it once in while.
Change the crappy speakers
I got my 6 with the cheap crappy loudspeakers and that
it is torture so I changed the speakers to the Bass from a KAPPA 60.9 CS and a
Panasonic tweeter EABST15. I made some fittings out of plywood for the
6,5" speaker so they would fit into the doors. The tweeter from the Kappa
set was to big so I got the Panasonic instead this could easy be so it would
fit into the place where Mazda had mounted the original tweeter.
Crappy Rain Sensor
I don't know what went wrong for the Engineers at
Mazda when they developed the rain sensor system but I think they forgot to try
it out in rainy weather that’s for sure. I have tried lots of things to get it
working but with no god result. Then I stumbled over someone talking about
"Rain X" and I bought some from e-bay.
Now the damn thing works, that's spooky.
So Mazda every time you sell a car with a rain sensor put in a bottle of
"Rain X" so the costumer can get it working properly.
